43. Water Bubbles
The piece is in four parts: 1. water bubble only, 2. water bubble processed with pitch variations, 3. water bubble triggering some synthetic tones, 4. combination of 2 and 3.
Capturing and processing water bubble sounds were fun. I used a small-diaphram condenser mic (Audix f9) covered with a rubber finger glove. This way, the mic became somewhat waterproof.
The piece was inspired by a jam session I had with Ben Bennet (http://milmin.nixsyspaus.org). Ben makes super interesting sounds using vibration/friction mechanism of unexpected objects. Check him out!
