7. Laptop + Telephone Pickup

Materials Used : Dell Inspiron 1420, Telephone pickups, M-Audio DMP3, M-Audio FastTrack Pro, MacBook Pro, SuperCollider.

How It Was Made :
In reading Collins' Handmade Electronic Music, I learned that a telephone pickup  device converts electromagnetic signals of a machine into audible sound. The microphone acts like a stethoscope for electronic devices since the user can listen and analyze different parts of a complex entity, such as computer, without visual cues. The performer examines the internal organs of a laptop using such microphone with the aid of digitally-processed audio.
